JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD ORAL ORDER 13-09-2022 The petitioner's contractual engagement as a community worker was brought to an end by the impugned order, which is dated 06.12.2016. The same is sought to be impugned by filing the writ petition in November 2018, two years thereafter.

The Court would find that the engagement was contractual and from the impugned order, it is obvious that the period of contract lapsed on 14.11.2015, whereafter no further

Patna High Court CWJC No.760 of 2019(3) dt.13-09-2022 2/2 contract was executed between the petitioner and the respondents. The Court, therefore, does not find any reason to interfere with the impugned order as the writ petition suffers from vice of delay and laches.

Further it is apparent from Annexure-8 that under order dated 04.04.2018, the petitioner was again selected for being engaged on contractual basis as social worker. The admitted position is that she has not submitted joining pursuant to the said selection.

The writ petition, in the circumstances, is devoid of merits and the same is dismissed.
