This is an application for grant of regular bail filed on behalf of the petitioner. Petitioner is in custody in connection with Garkha PS Case No. 370 of 2018 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 324, 326, 307 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code.

Having regard to the specific allegation of sprinkling acid on the body of the cousin brother of the informant against the petitioner, the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. However, the court below is directed to conclude the trial of the case at the earliest, preferably within a period of nine months from today.

In case the trial is not concluded within the period
