In the instant petition, petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:

"(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities to make appointment of the petitioners to the post of Accountant-cum-I.T. Assistant against the advertised vacancy on the ground that the Bundel Khand

Patna High Court CWJC No.189 of 2020 dt.09-12-2021 2/2 University, Jhansi clarified that the certificates of the petitioners are correct according to the records of the University as also the name of the petitioners are appearing at serial nos.

19, 24, 23, 20 and 22 respectively.

(ii) For issuance of any other appropriate writ/writs, order/ orders direction/directions for which the writ petitioners would be entitled under the facts and circumstances of the case."

Undisputedly, selection and appointment to the post of Technical Assistant and Accountant-cum-I.T. Assistant on contract basis. Persuant to the advertisement, issued on 08.08.2018 tenure of contract appointment is for one year. As on the date of submission of the present writ application tenure prescribed for contract appointment was over.

Therefore, the present petition do not servive for consideration.

Accordingly, the petition stands dismissed.
