JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 22-08-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "(i)To issue a writ of mandamus, commanding the respondents to pay arrears of freedom fighter pension to the tune of Rs. 1,96,000/.

(ii)To issue a writ of mandamus, commanding the respondents to pay other benefits which the petitioner is entitled to.

(iii)To issue an appropriate writ commanding the

Patna High Court CWJC No.1232 of 2024(3) dt.22-08-2024 2/2 respondent No.6 to pay arrears of freedom fighter pension of Rs. 1,96,000/- to the petitioner.

(iv) To issue an appropriate writ commanding the respondents to pay interest by way of compensation"

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Secretary, Home (Special) Department, Government of Bihar, Patna for redressal of his subsisting grievances, if any. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off.
