The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Manihari P.S. Case No. 444 of 2019, registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The accusation is that on receiving secret information about carrying the liquor by the petitioner, Laxman Mahto (petitioner) and Chandan Mahto loading on a cycle, the informant, along with other police personnel, proceeded for village Singal Tola. On seeing the police party, the accused persons started to flee away throwing the bicycle with sack, but, they were identified in the head-light of the police vehicle. On search of bicycle 100 bottles of 300 ml country made liquor recovered from the bicycle.

Submission is that petitioner has no criminal

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.78153 of 2019(2) dt.09-12-2019 2/2 antecedent and is in custody since 07.11.2019. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Manihari P.S.
