The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application relates to payment of arrears as well as current salary since long.
Taking work and denying salary amounts to beggari which is prohibited in terms of the constitutional mandate. No work is gratuitous.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been regularly working against sanctioned and vacant post and without any rational justification, the

Considering the aforesaid, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of the petitioner for payment of arrears as well as current salary. If it is found that the petitioner has actually worked, he shall be paid salary for the period he has worked. Such a decision for payment of consequential benefits to the petitioner shall be taken within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order .
