2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case, registered for offence punishable under Sections 338, 318(4) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Section 13(1)(a)(b) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

3. As per F.I.R., the informant, who is District Programme Officer (MANREGA), alleged that Mr. Manish Ranjan, Junior Engineer (MANREGA) has accepted illegal gratification from one Ajay Kumar Sah in exchange for maintaining MB for MANREGA scheme, and on verification of UPI transaction, it was revealed that this petitioner, who was Computer Operator, and two others persons have received such money from Ajay Kmar Sah under MANREGA.

4. In this case, a counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of District Magistrate, Bettiah and from perusal whereof, it appears that there is direct allegation of taking bribe against this petitioner through U.P.I. from one Ajay Kumar Sah. Petitioner has got one criminal antecedent also.

5. Considering the nature of accusation and criminal antecedent, the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioner is rejected.
