The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Khaira P.S. Case No. 285 of 2019 dated 23.08.2019 instituted for the offence under Sections 25(1-B), 26 of the Arms Act.

A country made pistol is said to have been recovered from the house of the petitioner. However, according to the FIR, the petitioner could manage to escape.

Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner notwithstanding the fact that he has clean antecedents. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
