The petitioner seeks bail in Madanpur P.S. Case No.170 of 2019, registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

The police-informant seized the vehicle bearing Registration No. BR24G 1919 and 210 litres of spirit liquor was recovered. The petitioner is the owner of the vehicle. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the driver of the vehicle was plying the vehicle on road and the petitioner had no knowledge that the driver of the vehicle was carrying spirit liquor in the vehicle. The petitioner is in jail since 18.11.2019. The petitioner has already remained in jail for about two months.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.78218 of 2019(2) dt.10-01-2020 2/2 Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-VII-cum-Special Judge (Excise), Aurangabad in connection with Madanpur P.S. Case No.170 of 2019.
