2. The present petition has been filed for quashing Memo No. 1557 dated 03.07.2019 issued under the signature of Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Patna whereby the selection of the petitioners as ANM has been rejected.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the reasons for the said rejection have not been communicated and the only indication is that due to star mark (*) candidature has been rejected.

On the contrary, learned counsel for the Bihar Staff Selection Commission submits that the petitioners' roll numbers have been identified by the Sr. Superintendent of Police during the investigation and, therefore, the matter was placed before the Commission and the Commission in its meeting dated 20.07.2018 by virtue of unanimous decision decided to cancel the candidature of the petitioners along with other candidates.

5. It transpires to this Court that every person has a right to know the ground due to which action has been taken by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Patna. As such, the Secretary, Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Patna is directed to pass an order afresh upon granting opportunity to the petitioners in this matter within 60 days from the date of production of a copy of this order.

6. In the meantime, the order contained in Memo No. 1557 dated 03.07.2019 shall be kept in abeyance.

7. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
