The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 713 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 30(a), 38 and 47 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The allegation is regarding recovery of 440.64 litres of illicit liquor from a Tata cash van upon the same being apprehended by the Police.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not the owner of the said vehicle and he has been falsely implicated in the present case. The petitioner is stated to be having a clean antecedent and he is languishing in custody since 01.11.2018.
