Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A/34 and other ancillary sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioners are Sasur, Sas and Devar respectively of the victim and there is allegation that they subjected the victim to cruelty for dowry.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the allegations levelled against the petitioners are false and the parties have compromised the differences. They further submit that they live separately with the victim and have no connection with her daily affairs.

Considering the facts of the case, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of arrest/surrender before the Court

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.82174 of 2019(2) dt.12-12-2019 2/2 below within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the order, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram in Mahila Police Station Case No. 22/2019, on the following conditions:-

(1) Petitioners shall co-operate in the trial and shall be properly represented on each and every date fixed by the Court and shall remain physically present as directed by the Court and on their absence on two consecutive dates without sufficient reason, their bail bond shall be cancelled by the Court below.

(2) If the petitioners tamper with the evidence or the witnesses, in that case the prosecution will be at liberty to move for cancellation of bail.
