Petitioner has filed the present writ application for a direction to the respondents to consider his case for compassionate appointment.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the District Compassionate Committee, Chapra has decided the case in favour of the petitioner on 06.04.2010. For compassionate appointment respondents have fixed five years time for filing application for compassionate appointment but they are taking inordinate time in acting upon the recommendation of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.23696 of 2018(2) dt.08-07-2019 2/2 committee appointment. The compassionate appointment committee recommended the case of the petitioner on 06.04.2010, there is no reason to delay in acting upon the recommendation of compassionate committee.

Considering the object behind compassionate appointment, the Court directs the respondents to take appropriate decision with regard to the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the present writ application stands disposed of.
