The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Laheriasarai P.S. Case No. 616 of 2018 dated 23.12.2018 instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 324, 326 and 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner and others are said to have assaulted the brother of the informant. The petitioner has specifically been attributed with the assault by means of a dagger on the brother of the informant. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that there is a counter version of the occurrence and other accused persons have been granted bail in this case. A perusal of the injury report

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.79915 of 2019(3) dt.04-06-2020 2/2 report reflects that the injured has though received an incised wound on the frontal part of scalp, but there are no similar injuries by any sharp/pointed object. The petitioner is in custody since 18.03.2019 and claims to be a person of clean antecedents. Considering the aforenoted aspects viz. the period of custody of the petitioner and his being a person of fair antecedent, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Darbhanga in connection with Laheriasarai P.S. Case No. 616 of 2018.
