The petitioner has come to this Court for a direction to the University to approve the appointment of the petitioner. The petitioner was appointed by the Governing Body of the college which is affiliated to the University.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that college is affiliated, therefore, the direction can be issued to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.24676 of 2019(2) dt.10-12-2019 2/2 University but even if the college is affiliated, it is the Governing Body who is empowered to appoint subject to approval by the University. The writ cannot be issued against a Governing Body of a private college which is affiliated to the University. If the petitioner has some grievance, petitioner may file suit for redressal of his grievance.
