2. The petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with Masaurhi P.S. Case No. 380 of 2024, instituted under Sections 498(A), 365, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, daughter of the informant was married with Ranjit Kumar three years ago. After 15 days of marriage, F.I.R. named accused petitioners started demanding Rs. 1 lakh and on refusal they assaulted the daughter of the informant. It is further alleged that on 10.05.2024 Ranjit

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.88887 of 2024(2) dt.08-01-2025 2/3 Kumar informed over phone of a co-villager of informant that daughter of the informant has fled away from the house. When the informant and his family members reached at the matrimonial house of his daughter, neither his daughter nor her in-laws were found there.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this case. Petitioner No. 1 is mother-in-law, Petitioner No. 2 is father-in-law and Petitioner No. 3 is brother-in-law of the victim. The victim has not made any direct allegation of demand of dowry against the petitioners. They are living separately from the victim and her husband. They have no concern with their affairs. Petitioners have no criminal antecedent. Petitioners undertake to co-operate in the investigation.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submission of learned counsel for the parties, in the event of arrest or surrender before the Court below within six weeks from today, the petitioners be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of
