The present application has been filed by the petitioner for payment of GPF.

The petitioner retired on 31.01.2000.

A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondents. Para-6 to 8 is relevant for deciding the present writ application which is quoted below:- "6. That in compliance of the aforesaid order, the present respondents made calculation of the entire GPF amount of the petitioner on the basis of available records/deduction statements and accordingly authorized the GPF amount of the petitioner alongwith up-to-date interest thereon vide authority letter bearing no. MT/2002/EP/19 dated 14.1.2020 amounting to Rs. 8,26,709/- (Rupees Eight Lac Twenty Six Thusand Seven Hundred Nine Only) and the same has already been

Patna High Court CWJC No.25336 of 2019(3) dt.22-06-2020 2/2 dispatched to the S.D.O. Chakia East Champaran for making payment of the authorized amount.

7. That the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) is required to make payment of the aforesaid authorized amount by crediting the same into the account of the petitioner.

8. That in the fact and circumstances stated hereinabove, it is very humbly submitted that on the basis of the available deduction statements,the full and final GPF amount of the petitioner has already been authorised at the end of the present respondent and the same has already been dispatched to the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officer for making payment of the authorised amount."

Considering the fact that payment has been made, the writ application is disposed of. In the event, the petitioner has any grievance as to the calculation, liberty shall be available to the petitioner to file representation before the Director, Provident Fund alongwith a copy of this order. On filing of such representation, the Director, Provident Fund shall pass reason speaking order and ensure payment of any amount which the Director, Provident Fund admits.

With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
