The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Falka P.S. Case No. 319 of 2017, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 387, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner is of firing on the brother of the informant and causing injury to his abdomen, which is dangerous to life.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner is in judicial custody for more than a year and uptil now no substantive progress has been made in the trial. Heard learned A.P.P. also.

No.10181 of 2019(3) dt.27-03-2019 2/2 Having heard both sides and perused the record also, from which it appears that the case has been committed to the court of Sessions, in view of the facts and circumstances of the case as stated above, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
