That this is an application for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to select and appoint the petitioner on the post of Part Time Sweeper (PTS) against the vacancy published in the local newspaper dated 19.03.2021 and 20.03.2021 and on basis the petitioner's candidature was found fit for the said vacant

Patna High Court CWJC No.583 of 2024(2) dt.15-02-2024 2/3 post and the respondent no. 4 do issued a letter dated 18.05.2021 for verification of the original certificates and the Hindi written and reading test. The respondent again found the petitioner eligible showing the merit list at Sl. No. 7 on 10.06.2021 and thus he was selected on 10.06.2021 and instructed to join the post on 21.06.2021 at the office of respondent no. 4 but his joining was not accepted for the reason best known to them the respondents 2, 3 and 4 were lastly informed of their irregularity till dated through his counsel legal notice on 08.06.2023 but they are sitting tight over the matter."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, including that of approaching the Ld. Labour Court having competent jurisdiction, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is
