2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act 2018 .

3 . Prosecution case is that 162 liters foreign liquor were recovered from car bearing Registration No. BR01DV2501 of which petitioner is registered owner.

4. It is submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case . Petitioner is owner of the vehicle in question having Registration No. BR01DU - 2501 Chasis No. MAKGM65DDJN302646 Engine No.

L15Z14423445 from which no incriminating article have been recovered but petitioner was coming from Chatra to attend the

No.88568 of 2024(3) dt.05-02-2025 2/2 ring ceremony of his friends sister and in the meantime petitioner stayed to take tea near Balaji Petrol Pump and in that course police seized the vehicle in question and only on mere suspicion the name of the petitioner has been transpired in this case .

5 . Learned counsel for the State submits that the huge quantity of liquor have been recovered from the car of which petitioner is registered owner.

6. Considering the facts of the case as also the fact that huge quantity of liquor have been recovered from the vehicle of which petitioner is registered owner, prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
