The petitioner had applied for being appointed as Anganwari Sevika in Ward No. 8 and was adjudged the most suitable candidate in the meeting of the Aam Sabha. However,

Patna High Court CWJC No.1076 of 2019 dt.14-02-2019 2/3 in her place, private respondent no. 9 has been appointed as Anganwari Sevika on the plea that the petitioner did not hail from Ward No. 8 where the Anganwari Centre is situated. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that her husband is a permanent resident of Ward No. 8 and wrongly, the candidature of the petitioner has been by-passed and the private respondent no. 9 with lesser rank in the merit has been appointed on the post. He has further submitted that the aforesaid grievance has been raised before the District Programme Officer, Rohtas at Sasaram but till date no action has been taken on the aforesaid complaint.

Under the aforesaid circumstances, this Court directs the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the District Programme Officer, Sasaram, detailing her grievances within a period of four weeks from today.
