JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 19-03-2020 The petitioner, who is in custody since 03.08.2019, seeks bail in connection with Pipra P.S. Case No. 268 of 2019, dated 02.08.2019, instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 324, 307, 379, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is said to have assaulted the informant by means of an iron weapon because of a dispute over sowing saplings of paddy.

There is a counter version of the occurrence as well.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.79478 of 2019(3) dt.19-03-2020 2/2 submitted that though four injuries are stated to have been inflicted on the person of the informant, but all those injuries have been opined to be simple in nature.

Regard being had to the circumstance in which the occurrence took place and the period of custody of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran in connection with Pipra P.S. Case No. 268 of 2019.

The application stands allowed.
