The petitioners apprehend their arrest in Riga P.S. Case No.232 of 2017 registered under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The informant, wife of Guddu Singh(son of petitioners) alleged that after two months of her marriage with Guddu Singh, Guddu Singh and his family members began to demand additional dowry and subjected her to physical and mental torture.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law of the informant. No specific allegation is made against the petitioners.

No.80134 of 2018(2) dt.15-01-2019 2/2 Considering the aforesaid facts and the fact that the petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law of the informant, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the order, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sri Rakesh Kumar, the learned 1st Class Magistrate, Sitamarhi in connection with Riga P.S. Case No.232 of 2017, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
