ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 08-05-2024 Learned counsel for the petitioner has stated against the orders of cancellation passed by the S.D.O., the petitioner has preferred a statutory appeal before the District Magistrate and the same is pending adjudication. Learned counsel only seeks a direction to the District Magistrate for early disposal of the appeal filed by him.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents has stated that he has no objection as the direction is given to the District Magistrate to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner in accordance with law by fixing a time-frame.

Having regard to the above made submissions without going into the merits or demerits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondent No. 2 District Magistrate to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. It is needless to mention that before passing any order, the petitioner shall be given an opportunity of hearing. Any order passed shall be communicated to the parties.
