Mr. Dhananjaya Nath Tiwari, the learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the application for grant of licence on compassionate ground of the petitioner is still pending before the authorities.

There is no reason why such applications should remain pending before the authorities for such long time. Believing the statement of the petitioner to be true, we direct that in case the application of the petitioner is pending for

Patna High Court CWJC No.23362 of 2018(2) dt.02-01-2023 2/2 consideration for grant of licence on compassionate ground, the same shall be taken up by the Authority/District Selection Committee within next 60 days and an order shall be passed either allowing or disallowing the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law. The petitioner shall be made known the outcome of such decision by the Committee.
