The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for offence punishable under section 498A and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

It is alleged that the petitioner, being husband of opposite party no.2, subjected her to cruelty and harassment for non-fulfilment of dowry. Petitioner is not ready to pay maintenance to opposite party no.2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, while denying the allegation, submits that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case to blackmail him by his in-laws. In view of the nature of allegation, prayer for bail of
