Case No. 08 of 2014 giving rise to S.T. No. 51 of 2018/182 of 2018 instituted for the offences under Sections 498, 304(B), 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner at length and having heard learned APP for the State, I am satisfied that this is not a case for grant of bail at this stage. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that most of the witnesses of the prosecution have already been examined and it is only the formal witness, namely, the Investigating Officer who is yet to be examined and consequently the prayer is that an observation be made with regard to the expeditious disposal of the trial.

In view of the submissions raised, there is no scope

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1735 of 2019(2) dt.18-01-2019 2/2 for grant of bail but in view of the submissions so raised, it will be open to the trial court (1st Addl. Sessions Judge, Nawada) to proceed to expedite the hearing of the trial (S.T. No. 51 of 2018/182 of 2018, arising out of Nardiganj P.S. Case No. 08 of 2014) and dispose it of at the earliest.

The bail application stands consigned with the aforesaid observations.
