The petitioner, who is the widow of the late employee, seeks a direction to the respondent authorities for payment of the retiral dues of her late husband.

It appears that the husband of the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.25294 of 2019(2) dt.17-12-2019 2/3 was employed in Triveni Canal Construction Division, Sugauli in the district of Motihari. He superannuated on 31.07.2008. By that time, he had been granted only one time-bound-promotion but was not given any benefit of Career Progression Scheme of the Government. The representation preferred by the late employee went unheeded inexplicably.

The employee is stated to have died on 21.06.2016, hence the necessity of the widow approaching this Court.

Several representations also appeared to have been filed by the petitioner before the concerned respondents especially the Executive Engineer, Water Ways Division, Jehanabad but as usual, those have also fallen on deaf ears.

This Court, under the aforesaid circumstances, directs that in case a fresh representation is filed by the petitioner before the Respondent No. 5 within a period of six weeks, the concerned respondent shall verify all

Patna High Court CWJC No.25294 of 2019(2) dt.17-12-2019 3/3 facts and shall pass a reasoned order in accordance with law, within a further period of six weeks. If the claim of the petitioner is found to be tenable, necessary orders shall be passed for payment of the post-retiral dues of the late husband of the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.
