Petitioners filed this writ petition seeking direction to the Bihar School Examination Board to correct the father's name of petitioner no.1 in the certificates such as registration receipts, admit card, marks-sheet and certificate of passing annual examination of Class X issued in the year 2017. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner no.1 was admitted in Swami Vivekanand High School, Harnaut (Nalanda) and on the basis of transfer

Patna High Court CWJC No.25214 of 2019(2) dt.17-12-2019 2/3 certificate, petitioner no.1 got admitted in Class IX in +2 High School, Harnaut, Nalanda in the year 2015 but due to inadvertence the father's name of petitioner no.1 was wrongly mentioned as Rakesh Singh in place of Ramesh Singh and the same were crept in registration slip, admit card and passing certificates. Petitioner no.1 filed petition before the school. The school forwarded the application of petitioner no.1 after correcting the father's name of petitioner no.1 in admission register. The District Education Officer also recommended the application of petitioner no.1 to the Bihar School Examination Board. The application of petitioner no.1 is pending for last three months.

Learned counsel for the Bihar School Examination Board submits that a direction can be issued to the Secretary, Bihar School Examination to examine the matter and pass necessary order with regard to correction of father's name of petitioner no.1 in the certificates mentioned above. Having considered the submissions of both sides, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Secretary, Bihar School Examination Board (respondent no.3) to examine the case of petitioner no.1 in accordance with law and if it is found that due to inadvertence the father's name of petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.25214 of 2019(2) dt.17-12-2019 3/3 no.1 has wrongly been mentioned as Rakesh Singh in place of Ramesh Singh, the same be corrected in the certificates mentioned above within three months from today. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
