The vehicle of the petitioner was seized pursuant to the proceedings initiated under the Essential Commodities Act. Since the Collector, Vaishali has initiated the proceedings against the petitioner for confiscation of the vehicle, the petitioner has already filed an application for release of the vehicle before the Collector. According to him, the same has been pending since long but no decision has been taken.
