Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Jehanabad P.S. Case No.407 of 2017, giving rise to Sessions Trial No.401 of 2017, registered under Sections 304B, 302 and 201 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Accusation against the petitioner is that on account of non-fulfillment of demand of dowry, the petitioner used to assault his wife and ultimately killed her by assaulting her and dead body was found in a badly injured condition. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is husband and has clean antecedent and other coaccused were granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 21.12.2017, passed in Cr. Misc. No.61712 of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.27970 of 2018(6) dt.02-08-2018 2/2 2017 and the petitioner has been in custody in this case since 27.06.2017; whereas the learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner is husband and on account of non-fulfillment of demand of dowry, the petitioner killed his wife and as per the postmortem report, several injuries over the dead body were found and the deceased died due to massive bleeding and hemorrhage.

Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the prayer of bail of the petitioner is rejected. (Arun Kumar, J) S.KUMAR/- U T
