2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kishanganj Mahila P.S. Case No. 27/2014 registered for the offences punishable under Section 376 of I.P.C.

3. As per the prosecution case, petitioner is accused of committing rape with the victim and the victim has given birth to a child who is 14 years old.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has falsely been implicated in the case. Learned counsel further submits that he has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 05.04.2025. The petitioner undertakes to co-operate in the case/ trial.

5. Learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.

6. Considering the allegations levelled against the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner is an absconder in a case of 2014, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present.

7. Accordingly, this application stands dismissed with direction to the court below to expedite the trial, if it is being delayed by the prosecution.
