2. The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent no. 3, Collector, Gaya to dispose of Appeal No. 16 of 2017 pending before him; and for connected reliefs.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that Appeal No. 16 of 2017 was filed before the Appellate Authority pursuant to the order of this Court dated 17.03.2017 passed in CWJC No. 7347 of 2016, but the same has remained pending even after lapse of more than one year.

4. Learned counsel for the respondents appears and has been heard.

Having regard to the nature of the grievances and the stand of the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Collector, Gaya (Respondent No. 3) to consider and dispose of the petitioner's Appeal No. 16 of 2017 (Annexure-5), if the same is still pending before him, after grant of opportunity of hearing to the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this judgment.
