Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Basopatti PS Case No.24 of 2018, registered under Section 7 of the E.C. Act.

Allegation in brief is that one bag of rice was recovered from Md. Firoj Ansari who disclosed that it was purchased from the PDS shop of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no shortage of rice was found as it is reflected from the FIR itself that the remaining rice was found stored in the house of the petitioner which was also adjacent to the PDS shop and it was kept there on account of paucity of the space.
