Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to remove the word 'Supplementary' before Beldaur P.S. case No. 68 of 2016.
The petitioner seeks bail in Beldaur P.S. Case No. 68 of 2016 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 387/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Informant in her written complaint has alleged that on 16.05.2016 at about 2:00 pm when she went to her field to stop the petitioner and three other accused persons from harvesting the crop of Maize they threatened that if she does not compromise the case of murder of her husband they will not permit her to harvest any crop and they further demanded Rs. 10
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.31800 of 2018(4) dt.13-08-2018 2/2 Lacs as ransom for expenditure made in the said case. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. The alleged offence for which allegation is of demand of ransom petitioner has already been convicted by the trial court and on appeal preferred before the High Court, he was granted bail. Petitioner is in custody since 03.04.2018. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner named above be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned ACJM-III, Khagaria, in connection with Beldaur P.S. Case No. 68 of 2016.
