The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Siwan Town P.S. Case No. 258 of 2014 dated 16.07.2014 instituted for the offences under Sections 379, 411 and 414 of the Indian Penal Code.
The petitioner was found along with his associates with two stolen motorcycles. The explanation offered by the petitioner regarding possession of such stolen motorcycles is that he has been falsely implicated in the case when he had come to his maternal uncle on his private visit.
In any view of the matter, the petitioner was sent to remand home way back in the year 2014 but he ran away from the remand home.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.39986 of 2018(2) dt.11-07-2018 2/2 He remained absconding thereafter and surrendered in this case only on 22.02.2018.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that after 2014, no case has been registered against him and all the other accused persons of the case have been granted bail.
Regard being had to the aforesaid facts as also taking into account the period of custody of the petitioner and nature of accusation, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Siwan in connection with Siwan Town P.S. Case No. 258 of 2014.
