2. The petitioners apprehend arrest in connection with Bikramganj P.S. Case No. 649 of 2023 dated 17.11.2023, instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 323/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that the marriage
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.89431 of 2024(2) dt.08-01-2025 2/3 of the informant was solemnized with Shashank Kumar Singh on 20.05.2022 according to Hindu rites. It is further alleged that petitioners tortured the informant physically and mentally for non-fulfillment of their demand of Rs. 5 lakh and a car.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent and they have been falsely implicated in this case. It is further submitted that petitioner no. 1 is father inlaw, petitioner no. 2 is mother in-law, petitioner no. 3 is bhasur, petitioner no. 4 is sister in-law (gotni) and petitioner no. 5 is brother in-law (dewar) of the informant. It is further submitted that there is no specific allegation against the petitioners rather the allegation levelled against the petitioners is general and omnibus in nature. It is also submitted that petitioner no. 4 is gotni of the informant, who has same status and she is also daughter in-law of petitioner nos. 1 & 2. The demand of dowry has also been made against her which falsify the case of the informant. It is next submitted that the allegation of assault has not been proved by any injury report. Lastly, it has been submitted that the petitioners have no criminal antecedents.
5. Learned A.P.P. and learned counsel for the informant vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the informant submitted that all

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, in the event of arrest / surrender of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from today, in connection with Bikramganj P.S. Case No. 649 of 2023, they shall be released on anticipatory bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M., Bikramganj, Rohtas subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
