JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 02-05-2024 Though the present writ petition has been filed for quashing the order dated 8.12.2022, passed by the District Magistrate, Nalanda, as communicated to the petitioner vide memo dated 8.12.2022, issued by the Incharge Officer, District Arms Branch, Nalanda, whereby and whereunder the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license has been rejected, however, the learned counsel for the petitioner has, at the outset, sought liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the aforesaid order dated 8.12.2022, by filing appropriate appeal. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, appropriate appeal is
Patna High Court CWJC No.857 of 2024(2) dt.02-05-2024 2/2 filed within a period of two weeks from today, the appellate authority shall consider the same on merits and dispose off the same, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter.

The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
