2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kotwali (Tilkamanjhi) P.S. Case No. 767 of 2022 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323 and 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is accused of stabbing the victim a number of times.

4. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 24.11.2023 and he was not present on the spot as the son of the informant has said that he did not see anyone.

5. Learned APP for the State has submitted from the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.2960 of 2024(2) dt.24-01-2024 2/2 FIR that the accused side was threatening the petitioner's family.

6. Considering the serious allegations against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

8. The Court below is directed to expedite the trial.

9. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Bhagalpur is directed to provide security to the victim and his family members as it has come in the FIR that the father of the petitioner was threatening the prosecution side.

10. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Bhagalpur for its compliance through FAX or e-mail forthwith.
