2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 80(2) and 3(5) of the BNS
3. The case of the prosecution in short is that Puja Kumari (the deceased) was married with Rajesh Kumar on 25.05.2023. After marriage she was subjected to cruelty on account of non-fulfillment of dowry demand. It is further alleged that all the family members have killed Puja by pressing her neck.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased. It has also been submitted that from perusal of the inquest report it will transpire that the body of the deceased was found hanging with
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.86540 of 2025(2) dt.18-12-2025 2/2 a rope. It has further been submitted by the learned counsel that the husband of the deceased is in custody. Learned counsel for the petitioner has lastly submitted that the petitioner is a man of clean antecedent and is in judicial custody since 03.08.2025.
5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer of bail to the petitioner.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with B.P. No. 714 of 2025 arising out of Paras Bigha P.S. Case No. 201 of 2025 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned J.M.F.C., Jehanabad.
