2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Dagarua P.S. Case No. 262 of 2022 registered for the offence under Section 143, 341, 323, 324, 307, 379, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is said to have assaulted the victim with a sharp-edged weapon.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case and he has also submitted that the informant sustained injury from a hard blunt substance which falsifies the prosecution case.

6. Learned APP for the State assisted by learned counsel for the informant has vehemently opposed the prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail by contending that the victim has sustained grievous injury.

7. Considering the discrepancies in the prosecution allegation and also considering the period of custody, this application is allowed.

8. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnea in connection with Dagarua P.S. Case No. 262 of 2022.
