The petitioners seek anticipatory bail in connection with Chakiya P.S. Case No.247 of 2019 registered for the offence under Sections 272, 273 & 290 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Both the petitioners have criminal antecedents though not only under the Excise Act, 2016 but, under serious sections of the Indian Penal Code. In this circumstance, in my opinion, it is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail. Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Sandeep Kumar, J) pawan/- U T
