2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case No. 366 of 2023 registered for the offence under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is said to have raped a seven year old girl.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and he has falsely been implicated in this case.

5. It is also submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in jail since 16.09.2023.

6. Learned APP for the State vehemently opposed

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.9662 of 2024(2) dt.20-02-2024 2/2 the prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail.

7. Considering the serious allegation levelled against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

8. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

9. The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and conclude the same at the earliest. (Sandeep Kumar, J) Vikas/- U T
