Petitioner is an accused in connection with Mehsi P.S. Case No. 218 of 2018 for the offence registered under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in connection with the present case. It is further submitted that the name of the petitioner has surfaced on the basis of the confessional statement made before the police by co-accused Ramayan Prasad. Nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner and the petitioner is in custody since 01.10.2019.
