2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 353, 427, 504, 506, 379 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per prosecution case, on 20.06.2024, informant, who is Junior Engineer in Electricity Department, along with one Rahul Jha and Hari Narayan Singh, was installing electronic meter in the village, in the meantime, this petitioner, in drunken condition, abused and assaulted informant and others and also tried to snatch his mobile phone.
4. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. As a matter of fact, the petitioner did not obstruct, abuse or assault informant and others in discharging
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.258 of 2025(2) dt.04-02-2025 2/2 their duties and has falsely been implicated in this case with ulterior motive.

On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner and submitted that petitioner is named in the F.I.R. and there is specific accusation that he abused and assaulted informant and others and obstructed them from doing their duties. It is further submitted that petitioner has also got one criminal antecedent.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, nature of accusation and criminal antecedent of the petitioner, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is rejected.
