The petitioner is in custody in connection with Bhagwan Bazar P.S. Case No. 293 of 2016 for the offence under Sections 366(A)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Having regard to the statemetn of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C., the Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, his prayed for grant of bail is rejected. However, the Court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of nine months.
