11-12-2019 The petitioner seeks bail in Ghorasahan (Jitna) P.S. Case No. 154 of 2019 registered for the offence under Sections 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per prosecution case, it is a case of dowry death and petitioner is husband of the deceased.

It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that the informant, who is father of the deceased, in his subsequent statement has stated quite a different story and it appears that deceased has committed suicide. It is further submitted that mother-in-law of the deceased has already been granted bail. However, considering the fact that petitioner is husband and there is specific allegation against him for demand of dowry and death of deceased has occurred within one month

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.81673 of 2019(2) dt.11-12-2019 2/2 of her marriage due to strangulation, which reveals from the post-mortem report, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of bail to the petitioner.

The prayer for bail stands rejected.
