The petitioner is in custody since 28.04.2017 in connection with G.R. No.680/17/33/17, arising out of Madanpur P.S. Case No.61 of 2017, registered for the offence under Sections 366A and 379 of the Indian Penal Code, which is pending in the court of the learned Special Judge, POCSO ActCum-1st Additional Sessions Judge, Aurangabad. The petitioner seeks to renew his prayer for bail on the ground that he has been in custody for nearly 15 months. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the trial has started, only three witnesses

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.42194 of 2018 (2) dt.25-07-2018 2/2 have been examined and rest are yet to be examined, which may take long time.

However, considering the nature of allegations made against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. The prayer for bail is rejected once again. However, the trial court is directed to proceed with the trial on day to day basis and without giving any unnecessary adjournment to the prosecution, dispose of the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
