The petitioner seeks bail in S.Tr. No.101 of 2018 arising out of Suryagadha P.S. case No.226 of 2017 registered under Sections 498(A), 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code and 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, pending in the court of Additional Sessions Judge IInd, Lakhisarai.

The earlier bail application of the petitioner was rejected vide Annexure 1 to the present application taking into account that the petitioner is the assailant. A report was called for from the trial court. It has been reported that the evidences of the prosecution witnesses have already been closed and the trial is likely to be concluded within a period of six months.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.82231 of 2019(3) dt.04-03-2020 2/2 Considering the nature of accusation and the stage of the trial, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is rejected.

The Trial Court is directed to take all necessary steps to conclude the trial at the earliest preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
