Petitioner filed this writ petition for a direction to the Registrar, L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga to pay the difference of arrears of salary to the petitioner after granting him promotion from Class IV to Class III.

Learned counsel for the University submits that the petitioner may be directed to file representation before the Registrar, L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga, who shall dispose of the representation of the petitioner within two months from the date of such representation and if the petitioner is entitled to get the difference of arrears of salary, the same may

Having considered the submissions of both sides, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the petitioner to file a detailed representation before the Registrar, L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga and upon such, the Registrar, L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga shall dispose of the representation of the petitioner within two months from the date of receipt of such representation and if the petitioner is entitled to get the difference of arrears of salary on the ground of his promotion, the same shall be paid to the petitioner one month thereafter.

With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
